Matthieu Hertoghe

Matthieu Hertoghe is Co-Founder and Head of Engineering at Chift, a Brussels-based unified API platform that enables software companies to seamlessly connect with over 120 financial systems across Europe.
Matthieu and his brother Henry began building an integration platform as a side project, driven by a passion for solving complex technical challenges, before joining forces with Gauthier Henroz to launch Chift in 2022.
Matthieu brings deep engineering expertise to Chift, architecting a unified API infrastructure that allows software vendors to launch financial integrations up to 10x faster than building them individually.
Chift was selected as one of the 40 most promising startups at Station F in Paris, closed a EUR 2.3M Seed round in 2024 led by Entourage, and has now raised a EUR 10.5M Series A led by BlackFin Capital Partners in 2026.
Under Matthieu's technical leadership, Chift has grown to 35+ people, serves over 150 software companies, connects more than 50,000 SMEs across ten European countries, and counts Revolut, Qonto, Pennylane, and Mollie among its clients.
