Maxim Bar Kogan is Co-Founder and CEO of Onyx Security, a company building the secure AI control plane for enterprises navigating the agentic era of AI.

Maxim is a veteran of the IDF's elite cyber intelligence Unit 8200 and previously served as Vice President of Product and Engineering at Mixtiles, bringing deep cybersecurity and engineering expertise to his entrepreneurial work.

Maxim studied at The Open University of Israel, won the CodeGuru Israel competition in 2008, and speaks four languages: Hebrew, English, Russian, and French.

He co-founded Onyx in 2024 alongside AI researcher Gil Elbaz, with backing from top-tier investors including Bessemer Venture Partners, Conviction, and Cyberstarts, raising a total of $153M across Seed, Series A, and Series B rounds.

Onyx reached a $640 million valuation just four months after emerging from stealth, serves multiple Fortune 500 customers, and secured a landmark integration with Anthropic to help enterprises adopt AI securely.
