Maximilian Becker is the CPO and Founder of CONUS, a Y Combinator F26-backed startup building the AI knowledge layer for surgery, bridging medical device manufacturers and hospitals across Europe.

Maximilian studied Engineering at Rheinische Fachhochschule Koln and is pursuing a Master of Science at FAU Erlangen-Nurnberg, while also conducting research in agentic AI systems at ETH Agentic Systems Lab.

With a background spanning mechanical design, additive manufacturing, and automation software, Maximilian brings a rare blend of deep engineering and AI expertise to the complex world of surgical technology.

Before founding CONUS in August 2024, Maximilian scaled hands-on through the full startup lifecycle at Cleansort, joining as engineer #10 and helping grow the company from prototype stage through industrial scale-up.

CONUS is already live in 17 European hospitals and works with leading manufacturers including Johnson and Johnson, Stryker, and Zimmer Biomet, with a long-term vision to become the unified implant ordering platform embedded in the surgical workflow.
