Mayank Shrivastava

Mayank Shrivastava is Co-Founder of AGNIT Semiconductors and a Full Professor in the Department of Electronic Systems Engineering at the Indian Institute of Science (IISc), Bangalore, where he leads cutting-edge research on GaN and 2D semiconductor materials.
Mayank earned his Ph.D. from IIT Bombay in 2010, receiving the Excellence in Research and Industrial Impact awards, before working at Infineon Technologies, IBM Microelectronics, and Intel Corp between 2010 and 2013.
He holds approximately 50 patents spanning LDMOS technology, FinFET power MOSFETs, and GaN devices, and has authored over 150 peer-reviewed publications, with most patents licensed by or in use at major semiconductor companies.
Mayank was one of the first recipients of the Indian Section of the American TR35 Award and the IEEE EDS Early Career Award, and is also the principal investigator for setting up a $50M Gallium Nitride prototyping Fab in India.
AGNIT, India's first vertically integrated GaN semiconductor startup, has raised $4.87M in funding and secured an MoU with India's Ministry of Defence under iDEX, while targeting the sale of 100,000 GaN chips to defense and telecom customers.
