Mehul Nariyawala

Mehul Nariyawala is Co-Founder and President of Matic Robots, a Mountain View-based home robotics company pioneering vision-first, AI-powered autonomous cleaning robots for the modern home.
Mehul grew up in India, studied at the University of Maryland, and earned an MBA from the University of Chicago Booth School of Business before building his career at Google and Nest.
Mehul co-founded Flutter, a hand-gesture recognition startup acquired by Google in 2013, where he and his team shipped the first deep learning-based person and motion detection for Nest Cams.
At Nest, Mehul served as Lead Product Manager for the Nest Cams portfolio, helping ship NestCam Outdoor, NestCam IQs, and Nest Hello Doorbell, generating over $250M in additional revenue.
After 7 years and 167 prototypes, Matic has raised over $107M in total funding including a Series B round in 2025, with notable backers including the Collison brothers (Stripe), Nat Friedman, and Nest co-founder Matt Rogers.
