Merlin Kafka is Co-Founder and CEO of Rex, an AI-native operations partner transforming enterprise order-to-cash workflows through intelligent agents that replace manual, people-heavy finance operations.

Originally from Germany and now London-based, Merlin studied Industrial Engineering at Cambridge and Product Design in Glasgow, bringing a rare blend of engineering rigor and design thinking to enterprise software.

Merlin brings deep domain expertise in order-to-cash and accounts receivable, having spent four years as CPO at Sequence (a16z-backed), scaling the platform from pre-revenue to Series A with millions in ARR and hundreds of customers.

Prior to Sequence, Merlin served as a PM at Tessian (Sequoia-backed, acquired in 2023), where he built AI security systems for major law firms and banks, cementing his track record across high-growth, venture-backed fintech companies.
