Mete Karslioglu

Mete Karslioglu is Co-Founder and CEO of Meteoric Technologies, a deep-tech startup building drones that fly into low and mid-altitude clouds to reduce their reflectivity and recover sunlight to utility-scale solar farms.
Mete earned an MEng from the University of Cambridge, specialising in aerospace, energy, and mechanical engineering, and co-founded Meteoric alongside Cambridge classmate Eric Nielsson.
Prior to Meteoric, Mete developed seawater spray nozzles to increase cloud reflectivity at the Cambridge Centre for Climate Repair, and built and deployed atmospheric measurement equipment, giving him rare hands-on expertise in cloud physics and renewable energy.
Mete also gained early finance exposure through a role at Marbas Menkul Degerler, rounding out a technical background with commercial awareness before launching Meteoric Technologies Ltd in July 2025.
Meteoric's drone technology targets low overcast clouds that can cut utility-scale solar generation by 60 to 80%, with the potential to deliver a 10 to 25% increase in annual solar output across major US grid regions, all without chemicals or new site infrastructure.
