Michael Hazard is Co-Founder and CEO of Rodeo Robotics, a YC-backed startup building robotic technicians that automate vehicle maintenance for fleet operators.

Michael studied Computer Science at Stanford University and began his career as an Associate Product Manager at Google before spending four years at Applied Intuition, where he served as tech lead of the neural simulation team.

At Applied Intuition, Michael worked directly with major OEMs including Toyota and General Motors, gaining deep expertise in bringing software and autonomy to real-world vehicles.

Michael co-founded Rodeo Robotics in 2026 alongside Colby Duke, applying their shared autonomy experience to tackle the roughly $600B annual US vehicle maintenance market.

Rodeo's initial deployments focus on automating oil changes at centralized fleet depots, pairing robots with human technicians to generate training data and earn revenue while expanding automation capabilities.
