Michael Keiser

Michael Keiser is Co-Founder at Sygaldry Technologies, a quantum-accelerated AI infrastructure company building the next generation of AI servers by harnessing the power of quantum computing.
Michael holds a bioinformatics PhD from UCSF, where he was an NSF Fellow, and earned multiple degrees from Stanford including a BSc in Computer Science, before joining the UCSF faculty in 2014.
A CZI Investigator and Allen Distinguished Investigator, Michael is a two-time founder with 20+ years developing AI and ML systems for scientific research, recognized for bridging deep learning with real-world biomedical applications.
Michael previously led an AI research lab at UCSF for 11 years, mentoring 45+ scientists, and co-founded an earlier startup bringing systems pharmacology methods for drug-target prediction to pharma and the US FDA.
Sygaldry has raised $139M across seed and Series A rounds backed by Breakthrough Energy Ventures and Initialized Capital, with its quantum-accelerated servers targeting the $5.2 trillion AI infrastructure gap projected by 2030.
