Michael Snyder

Michael Snyder is the Co-Founder and CTO of Star Catcher Industries, a pioneering space-based energy infrastructure company building the world's first power grid in orbit.
Michael studied at The Ohio State University and built deep expertise in space engineering, serving as Chief Engineer at Made In Space, where he contributed to in-space manufacturing and operated an In-Space Machine Shop in zero-gravity environments.
Michael previously served as CTO at Redwire Space, overseeing technology strategy and product development, before co-founding Star Catcher alongside CEO Andrew Rush and COO Bryan Lyandvert.
At Star Catcher, Michael leads the engineering of an optical power beaming system that delivers concentrated solar energy to satellites in Low Earth Orbit, enabling up to 10x more power with no hardware retrofit required.
Star Catcher has raised $88M in total funding, set a world record for optical power beaming at NASA's Kennedy Space Center, and is managing a commercial pipeline exceeding $3B in projected annual recurring revenue.
