Min Jin

Min Jin is Co-Founder and CSO at Molagri (YC S26), a Canadian AgBiotech startup engineering next-generation resistance-free biopesticides for agriculture using engineered insect virus-like particles.
Min holds an Honours BSc in Biophysics and is a PhD candidate in Biochemistry at the University of Toronto, where she and co-founder Zaky Hassan spent six years as viral structural biology lab mates studying virus-host interactions.
Min is a viral structural biologist and protein biochemist who holds the world record for the highest-resolution structure of a coronavirus spike protein in the Protein Data Bank (1.68 Angstrom), and has published in Nature Microbiology and Nature Communications.
Min and Zaky co-developed Molagri independently of U of T, secured $1M USD in pre-seed funding from Julian Capital and Y Combinator, and established lab operations at the MaRS Discovery District in Toronto.
Molagri has signed its first grower letter of intent, produced its first set of engineered viruses for testing, and solved a cryo-EM structure of a honeybee receptor to directly inform its pollinator-safe pesticide design.
