Miranda Nover

Miranda Nover is Founder and CEO of Fort, a Y Combinator W26 backed wearable that automatically tracks strength training for people focused on longevity. Fort uses motion and heart rate sensors to detect exercises, reps, sets, and fatigue without manual logging.
Miranda studied Mechanical Engineering at Carnegie Mellon University and worked as a Product Design Engineer at Tesla, where she developed 4680 battery cells for the Cybertruck from prototype through successful launch. She also completed an internship at Honeywell leading cross-functional teams.
Miranda is passionate about fitness and design, combining her engineering expertise with her love for strength training. She founded Fort in late 2024 with co-founders Paul Schneider and Zac Valles, all ex-Tesla engineers.
Fort is part of Y Combinator's Winter 2026 batch and has launched pre-orders at $289 with plans to ship in Q3 2026. The wearable automatically recognizes over 50 exercises and provides comprehensive health tracking including sleep, cardio, and recovery metrics.
Fort addresses the growing strength training market, where Whoop reported 122% year-over-year growth in strength workouts between 2024 and 2025. The company is building hardware that fills a critical gap in wearable technology for the longevity-focused fitness community.
