Nana Hori

Nana Hori is Co-Founder and Representative Director at Tensor Energy, an AI-driven cloud platform automating renewable energy and battery storage operations. She has over 10 years of experience in renewables and distributed energy, strategic marketing, and management consulting.
Hori started in the renewable energy sector in 2011 as a strategic consultant, working on battery market research, solar market entry projects, and distributed energy finance. She was a founding member of Shift Energy Japan, where she led business development and managed a team that sourced and developed over 50MW of solar projects totaling 30 billion yen.
In November 2021, she co-founded Tensor Energy with Vincent Filter to accelerate energy transformation through AI-powered generation forecasting, automated trading, and battery optimization. She attended International Christian University (ICU) in Japan.
Tensor Energy recently completed a Series A funding round raising 950 million yen from Global Brain, GLOBIS Capital Partners, and Delight Ventures, bringing total funding to 1.7 billion yen. The Tensor Cloud platform is currently deployed at over 800 locations across Japan.
At Shift Energy Japan, Hori's team developed approximately 30 billion yen and 50MW worth of solar projects. Tensor Cloud uses AI to forecast solar output and market prices in real-time, optimize battery schedules, and partners with major companies like Kyocera TCL Solar to maximize renewable energy revenue.
