Narayana Aaditya Ganeshkumar is Co-Founder and CEO at Skillsync, a Y Combinator W26 backed platform that helps companies find elite engineers based on their code contributions on GitHub. He holds a background in engineering, product, and organizational psychology from XLRI Jamshedpur.
Narayana helped take the open source Rust project HyperSwitch from zero to 20,000+ GitHub stars, where he witnessed firsthand how world class engineers were hiding in the long tail of open source. He previously worked at HyperSwitch building payment infrastructure.
Narayana co-authored technical documentation on building open source payment systems and contributed to the growth of a project with hundreds of contributors. His experience spans engineering, product development, and understanding organizational psychology.
Skillsync was founded in 2025 and is part of Y Combinator's Winter 2026 batch, based in San Francisco. The platform analyzes public GitHub contributions to create structured skill profiles that recruiters can search using a Cursor-like interface.
Skillsync enables companies to search for specific technical capabilities and find engineers who have actually built solutions in hard engineering domains like low-level systems, robotics, and infrastructure. The platform is uniquely positioned to discover overlooked talent that does not maintain traditional profiles.
