Nico Dehnert

Nico Dehnert is Co-Founder and Chief Commercial Officer at Optiml, an ETH Zurich spin-off pioneering Real Estate Decision Intelligence (REDI) software for institutional investors and asset managers. He holds an MRICS designation and brings expertise in PropTech and sustainable real estate.
Nico spent 11 years at Boston Consulting Group, rising to Partner, where he specialized in CleanTech, Technology, Venture Capital, Private Equity, and B2B SaaS. He also worked at HgCapital and holds degrees in Energy Engineering from RWTH Aachen and an MBA from INSEAD.
Nico co-authored BCG's corporate venturing research and contributed to Germany's ESOP reform efforts in 2020. He is a certified energy consultant and speaks at major real estate and PropTech conferences across Europe and the US.
Under Nico's commercial leadership, Optiml secured clients including PATRIZIA, AXA, Credit Suisse, and Grosvenor, and expanded into the US market. The company raised 8 million euros in seed funding in February 2026, co-led by KOMPAS VC and Planet A Ventures.
Optiml has assessed over 2 billion euros in real estate assets and won multiple awards including ZIA PropTech of the Year 2024. The platform helps clients reduce CO2 emissions by up to 588,000 tons while cutting capital expenditure by over 25%.
