Nikolay Dakov is Co-Founder and CEO at Quillon, an AI platform delivering audit-grade analysis for technical accounting and financial reporting. Quillon builds tools that enable accountants to produce SEC-ready memos with full traceability to accounting standards.

Nikolay studied Financial Economics at the University of Oxford, earning his Master of Science degree. He founded Quillon in 2023 alongside co-founders Ivaylo Stefanov and Atanas Dobrev.

Nikolay recognized that technical accountants struggled with general-purpose AI because auditors require fully citable outputs. Quillon addresses this gap by building a proprietary knowledge graph integrated with SEC EDGAR data.

Quillon raised $1.5 million in pre-seed funding led by 42CAP, with participation from angel investors at NVIDIA and Roblox. The company operates between Sofia, Bulgaria and San Francisco, serving US public companies and auditors.

Quillon automates technical accounting memos that underpin critical financial decisions including mergers, debt restructurings, and revenue recognition. The platform is expanding from research-oriented tools to production-ready systems for end-to-end accounting workflows.
