Ola Oyetayo is Co-Founder and CEO of Verto, a global fintech platform on a mission to simplify cross-border payments and foreign exchange for businesses in emerging markets, particularly across Africa.

Ola attended Kings College Lagos and Oxford Brookes University, qualified as a chartered accountant, and built a career in finance at American Express, Barclays, and Lloyds Bank before co-founding Verto.

Rooted in his Nigerian heritage, Ola brings a commercial lens to solving everyday financial problems, championing diversity across Verto's team of over 170 people from more than 30 nationalities.

Ola co-founded Verto in 2018 after identifying firsthand the inefficiencies and high costs of cross-border payments for businesses operating in emerging markets, and previously worked as a Portfolio Manager at Arbitrage Capital Limited.

Under Ola's leadership, Verto has raised over $12.1M, processes more than $2 billion in monthly transaction volumes, serves 4,000+ businesses across 190+ payout countries, won Fintech Startup of the Year at the London Fintech Awards, and claimed the $1M Milken-Motsepe Prize in FinTech.
