Olivier Tonneau

Olivier Tonneau is Co-Founder and Managing Partner at Quantonation, the world's first and largest early-stage venture capital fund dedicated to quantum technologies and deep physics. He is a graduate from ESSEC business school and founded Quantonation in 2018.
Olivier worked for 10 years as a management consultant at Kearney, before joining French entrepreneur Charles Beigbeder as CEO at his holding company, Gravitation. He was selected to be part of the class 28 of the Kauffman Fellows program, a prominent venture education program.
He co-founded Quantonation alongside Charles Beigbeder and Christophe Jurczak in 2018, raising over 100 million euros and investing in 25 companies in four years to become the leading firm in quantum technologies worldwide. Olivier was invited on CNBC to discuss the global rise of quantum technologies.
Quantonation II raised 220 million euros, with Olivier stating the focus shifts to utility and scale: demonstrating practical advantage, building robust products, and preparing for industrialization. Olivier serves as a board member at Multiverse Computing, Qnami, KETS Quantum Security, EvolutionQ, QC Design, Kipu Quantum, Cryptonext Security, Quobly and the Quantum Industry Consortium.
Quantonation closed its second flagship fund at 220 million euros, making it the largest dedicated quantum investment firm globally by AUM. Quantonation I raised 91 million euros and invested in 27 companies worldwide, with two exits.
