Omar Diouri

Omar Diouri is Co-Founder and Chief Medical & Scientific Officer at DiappyMed, a French medtech startup developing CE-marked digital therapeutics to personalize insulin treatment for people with diabetes.
A graduate of Telecom Sud-Paris and holder of a PhD in health biology, Omar developed the first version of DiappyMed's core application during his doctoral thesis at Montpellier University Hospital under Prof. Eric Renard.
Omar combines deep expertise in diabetes management and data science, having published peer-reviewed research in Diabetes Technology & Therapeutics on improved post-meal glucose control using the DiappyMed app in a randomized controlled study.
At DiappyMed, Omar leads all R&D programs, medical strategy, and clinical development, and has driven the company to secure a strategic partnership with pharmaceutical giant Sanofi and raise a 5M euro seed round led by Ventech.
DiappyMed's EkiYou digital therapy is a CE-marked medical device now working with nearly 200 prescribing doctors across France, with ambitions to become the first reimbursed insulin dosing digital therapeutic under French national health insurance.
