Omar Shah is Co-Founder and CEO at COLABS, a community-led workspace platform accelerating Pakistan's startup ecosystem with expansion into Saudi Arabia. He previously spent 8 years in private equity, including as Associate Director at Abraaj Group.

Omar studied Economics at SOAS, University of London and began his career in equities at Berenberg bank before moving to private equity. He is also a board member at Patari Music and serves as Partner at SABCON.

Omar co-founded COLABS in 2019 with his twin brother Ali Shah, combining expertise in investment banking and real estate development. The company has hosted over 250 events annually with 200,000+ visitors and supports a network of 100+ ecosystem partners.

COLABS raised $3 million in seed funding in 2022 led by Indus Valley Capital, Zayn Capital, and Fatima Gobi Ventures, with additional backing from Shorooq Partners and key angels. The company expanded to Saudi Arabia in 2025 with new investment from Waseel Partners.

COLABS serves over 5,000 members from 300 companies across 10 sites in Pakistan and Saudi Arabia, with startups in its network collectively raising over $1 billion in capital. The platform hosts 1,000+ events annually and has welcomed over 500,000 visitors to date.
