Patrick St-Amant is Co-Founder and CTO at Zetane Systems, a Montreal-based Canadian enterprise AI company specializing in document intelligence and machine learning solutions for government, construction, and manufacturing sectors.
Patrick is a mathematician and inventor who pursued PhD studies in mathematics (category theory) at the University of Ottawa and holds an M.Sc. in computer science and mathematics from UQAM; he was also invited to the Institute for Advanced Study in Princeton in 2006 and 2007 to present his work on a new universal mathematical language.
Patrick invented the core Zetane technology, built the first MVP, and holds the patent Scalable Transform Processing Unit for Heterogeneous Data, reflecting his deep expertise at the intersection of mathematics and AI engineering.
Before Zetane, Patrick was a passionate mathematics professor who supervised over 100 student projects each leading to novel mathematical discoveries, and conducted research spanning Number Theory, Physics, Set Theory, Systems Biology, and the Foundations of Mathematics.
