Patrick Thelen

Patrick Thelen is the CEO and Co-Founder of Procuros, a Hamburg-based AI-native supply chain connectivity platform that is building the new standard for automated B2B trade.
Patrick holds a Master of Engineering in Industrial Engineering and Operations Research from UC Berkeley and a Bachelor of Science in Wirtschaftsingenieurwesen from Nordakademie Elmshorn, and first encountered the problem of manual B2B transactions firsthand while working in sales at a mechanical engineering company handling orders by fax and PDF.
Patrick co-founded Procuros in 2021 alongside Benjamin Wulff after recognizing that connecting businesses through legacy infrastructure was unnecessarily slow and fragmented, with a mission to make autonomous supply chains a reality through trusted data and AI agents.
Prior to Procuros, Patrick worked as a consultant at Boston Consulting Group and as a sales engineer at Alfa Laval, specializing in heat exchanger design and energy efficiency; he also serves as an angel investor in comstruct and Root Global, and leads the non-profit doin' good, which provides hands-on education to underserved communities.
Procuros has raised a total of 34 million euros including a 20 million euro Series A led by XAnge, serves over 300 clients across DACH and the UK including Breuninger, KoRo, and flaconi, and processes more than 3 billion euros in annualised order volume through its platform.
