Paulo Gaspar

Paulo Gaspar is Co-Founder and CEO of BRAINR, a cloud-native AI-powered Manufacturing Execution System built exclusively for the food and beverage industry, on a mission to build the digital brain for every food factory.
Paulo spent nearly a decade as CIO and CMO at Grupo Lusiaves, one of Europe's largest poultry groups, where he led its full digital transformation from scratch, an experience that revealed the urgent need for purpose-built factory software.
Educated at Nova School of Business and Economics, Regent's University London, and Singularity University, Paulo also serves as Vice Chairman at Scandi Standard AB and manages diverse ventures through his family office, Casper Ventures.
In 2023, Paulo spun BRAINR out of Grupo Lusiaves after three years of internal development, securing Portugal's largest-ever seed round of 11M euros led by C2 Capital Partners, with a 1.5M euro extension from Portugal Ventures in 2026.
BRAINR now manages over 30% of all meat production in Portugal and supports more than 1.3 billion euros in annual food production, with customers reporting a 92% reduction in manual data entry and 21% improvement in operational efficiency.
