Philipp Engelkamp

Philipp Engelkamp is Co-Founder and CEO of Telura, a Munich-based deep-tech startup pioneering electro-impulse drilling to make geothermal energy economically viable anywhere on Earth.
A serial entrepreneur with over a decade of experience scaling deep-tech companies in sustainability, Philipp previously co-founded INERATEC, a Karlsruhe Institute of Technology spin-out that became one of Europe's leading sustainable e-fuels businesses.
Under his leadership, INERATEC raised over $129 million in Series B funding and earned recognition from the World Economic Forum, BCG, and the Deutscher Grunderpreis.
At Telura, Philipp is tackling one of geothermal energy's core challenges: drilling costs account for up to 70% of project expenses, making most projects economically unviable before they begin.
Telura has raised 4 million euros in pre-seed funding and secured a validation agreement with SPRIND, Germany's federal breakthrough innovation agency, targeting market entry in 2026.
