Pierre Vandepapelière, MD, PhD, is Co-Founder, CEO, and CMO of Amyl Therapeutics, a Belgian preclinical-stage biotech pioneering fusion protein therapies for amyloid-mediated diseases including Alzheimer's and Parkinson's.

Pierre holds a medical degree and PhD from Universite catholique de Louvain and brings over 30 years of experience in vaccine and biological therapeutics development across large pharma and biotech industries.

At GSK Vaccines, he led early clinical research and directed the development of prophylactic and therapeutic vaccines worldwide, building deep expertise in immunology and rare disease.

As CEO of Imcyse from 2014 to 2019, he transformed an academic research group into a rapidly growing biotech, signed major pharma partnerships, and closed a 35M euro Series B. He also founded Astrivax during the COVID-19 pandemic and held leadership roles at Neovacs.

Since co-founding Amyl Therapeutics in 2020, Pierre has raised over 27.85 million euros in total funding and is now advancing the company's ClariTY platform toward clinical development for AL amyloidosis and neurodegenerative diseases.
