Dr. Piyush J. Shah is the CEO and Co-Founder of Ravee Optics, a Dayton, Ohio-based deep tech startup pioneering ultracompact optical intersatellite links for small satellites and CubeSats.

Piyush holds a Ph.D. and a Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering from the University of Mumbai, and brings over 22 years of industry experience from roles at Apex Microdevices, FMI Medical Systems, University of Dayton Research Institute, and Schneider Electric.

A seasoned R&D company founder with expertise in semiconductor devices, metaoptics, and product development, Piyush has secured multiple USAF contracts and believes scalable optics manufacturing can be achieved using existing semiconductor foundry infrastructure.

Under his leadership, Ravee Optics was selected for the Seraphim Space Generation Space Accelerator Mission 15 cohort and secured $200,000 in Ohio Third Frontier TVSF grant funding to advance drone and defense sensor payloads.

Ravee Optics recently closed a $6M seed round led by BIG Global Investment JSC, with the company targeting a $2B satellite free-space optical communications market growing at a 45% CAGR through 2035.
