Pooria Azimi

Pooria Azimi is Co-Founder of Agave, an AI-powered financial operations platform modernizing the $12 trillion global construction industry through unified data infrastructure and intelligent automation.
Originally from Iran, Pooria earned a Master of Science in Computer Science from Oregon State University and a Bachelor of Science from Amirkabir University of Technology in Tehran.
Pooria was a core engineer at Graphiq, a semantic search startup later acquired by Amazon to power Alexa, where he helped scale search capabilities to dozens of languages and billions of queries per month.
Alongside his co-founders, Pooria leveraged nearly a decade of shared experience at Graphiq and Amazon to identify the construction industry's fragmented software landscape as a critical infrastructure problem worth solving.
Agave now serves 500+ customers, connects over 30 construction software systems across 950+ API endpoints, has raised a $15M Series A, and has been profitable and cashflow positive for over two years.
