Prof. Dr. Ali Ertürk is Founder and CEO of Deep Piction, an AI-driven biotechnology company accelerating drug development through cell-level imaging and deep learning. He also serves as Director of the Institute for Intelligent Biotechnologies at Helmholtz Munich and Full Professor at Ludwig Maximilian University of Munich.

Ertürk earned his PhD in Neuroscience from Max-Planck-Institute for Neurobiology and completed postdoctoral research at Genentech Inc. in San Francisco. He studied molecular biology and genetics at Bilkent University in Ankara, Turkey.

Ertürk invented the DISCO tissue transparency technology and has been cited over 9,392 times in scientific literature. He won the 2024 Falling Walls Award in Life Sciences for integrating AI with advanced tissue clearing techniques to revolutionize biomedical research.

Deep Piction combines biomedical research, AI, and drug delivery methods to develop targeted therapies for cancer, Alzheimer's, and heart disease while reducing animal testing. Ertürk also founded 1X1 Biotech, another AI-driven drug development company.

His research enables visualization of entire organs and organisms at cellular resolution, creating digital twins that could transform personalized medicine.
