Prof. Osman Ratib is Co-Founder and CEO of Agora Care SA, a Swiss medtech startup pioneering a patient-centric Web 3.0 platform for secure medical image storage and communication.

A dual board-certified physician in Cardiology and Nuclear Medicine with a PhD in Biomedical Physics, Prof. Ratib served as Vice Chairman of Radiology at UCLA for nearly a decade before becoming Chair of Medical Imaging at the University Hospital of Geneva (HUG) for over 10 years.

Driven by a lifelong passion for open-source medical software, Prof. Ratib co-created the globally adopted OsiriX imaging platform and the KHEOPS data-sharing system, used in academic and clinical institutions worldwide.

After retiring from his academic career, Prof. Ratib launched Agora Care in 2022 and has since raised over CHF 4 million across multiple rounds, including a CHF 2.2 million round in 2024 to fuel US market expansion.

Agora Care has been recognized as a Top 10 Hottest Swiss Startup, launched clinical pilots across major radiology networks in western Switzerland, and is actively expanding into Germany, Italy, and the United States.
