Rajiv Dattani is Co-founder of the Artificial Intelligence Underwriting Company (AIUC), building the confidence infrastructure layer for enterprise AI adoption through certification, audits, and insurance.

Rajiv studied at the University of Oxford, then became a partner in McKinsey's global insurance practice before serving as COO of METR, an AI safety research nonprofit that evaluated models for OpenAI and Anthropic.

Rajiv co-created AIUC-1, the first industry-driven compliance standard purpose-built for AI agents, drawing on input from a consortium of 250+ enterprise security and risk leaders including teams at JPMorgan Chase, Confluent, and Anthropic.

At AIUC, Rajiv spearheads the audit and certification framework that subjects AI agents to 5,000+ technical evaluations covering jailbreaks, hallucinations, prompt injections, and data leaks, and he continues to serve as a board member at METR.

AIUC has raised $55M in total funding across a $15M seed and a $40M Series A led by Ribbit Capital, with certified customers including Cursor, ElevenLabs, Harvey, KPMG, Lovable, and UiPath.
