Rhea Loucas

Rhea Loucas is the Founder and CEO of Worldmodeldata, a Cambridge-based deeptech startup building the world's largest library of AI training data sourced directly from video games, targeting frontier AI labs, robotics firms, and physical AI developers.
A serial entrepreneur, Rhea earned her MBF from the University of St. Gallen (2016-2018), worked as a financial services auditor at EY, then founded Sphaira Innovation and led PlanetPlay, a not-for-profit gaming marketplace partnered with the UN Development Programme on climate action, earning her an MBE in the 2026 New Year's Honours list for services to the Games Industry.
Rhea's conviction that large language models lack common sense and causality understanding, observed after four to five years in the video games industry, drove her to identify video games as the ideal controlled environment for generating action-conditioned AI training data at scale.
Under Rhea's leadership, Worldmodeldata raised a £7 million Seed round in December 2025 led by Iona Star Capital, and secured Lord Richard Allan, Meta's former VP of Public Policy for EMEA, as non-executive chairman, validating the company's strategic positioning.
Worldmodeldata is targeting one million hours of licensed gameplay data by end of 2026, a goal 25 times larger than the current industry benchmark of 40,000 hours, positioning the company as a Scale AI-style data provider for the physical AI era.
