Richard DiBona

Richard DiBona is Co-Founder and CTO of Descrybe.ai, a multi-award-winning AI legal research platform based in Greater Boston that is democratizing access to U.S. case law for legal professionals and the public alike.
Richard studied at Marist College and built deep expertise as an innovative software engineer, architect, and manager, bringing a strong track record of using emerging technology to solve complex problems, including founding the tech startup Episend, which won a significant business impact award.
Richard leads all technical development at Descrybe, architecting a platform built from the ground up for legal reasoning on over 100 million structured records, with DescrybeLM outperforming ChatGPT, Claude, and Gemini on a standardized bar exam benchmark.
Prior to Descrybe, Richard founded Episend, which was named a semi-finalist for the MAX Awards, and he has been a featured speaker at Microsoft NERD Center and Pinecone's RAG Brag livestream series for AI founders.
Since launching in 2023, Descrybe has grown to over 3.6 million AI-summarized U.S. court opinions, serves thousands of users daily worldwide, and has earned recognition including two American Legal Technology Awards and a Silver Anthem Award.
