Rishan Hemrajani is Co-Founder and CTO at CueBench (YC S26), a reinforcement learning infrastructure company building RL environments for frontier AI labs focused on scientific reasoning and performance engineering.

Rishan graduated Summa Cum Laude from The Woodlands College Park High School in Houston, Texas, where he was president of the Technology Student Association and won a national title, placed 1st at DECA ICDC, and was named a National Merit Semifinalist.

At just 17, Rishan and his co-founders became one of the youngest teams ever accepted into Y Combinator, turning CueBench from a late-night idea into a YC-backed company in a matter of weeks.

CueBench secured $500K in backing through Y Combinator Summer 2026 and is also backed by NVIDIA Inception, targeting the critical gap where frontier AI models fail over 80% of the time on specialized scientific tasks.

CueBench is building the next generation of RL post-training environments, with the thesis that future model capability gains will come from carefully constructed training environments rather than raw pre-training scale.
