Rohit Agarwal is Co-Founder and CEO at Portkey, a unified AI control plane that helps enterprises manage production AI systems with governance, observability, and cost control. Portkey processes over 500 billion LLM tokens across 125 million requests daily for more than 24,000 organizations globally.

Rohit studied at Birla Institute of Technology and Science, Pilani and spent five years in product management at Freshworks after his first startup Framebench was acquired. He then served as Head of Product at Pepper Content, where he honed his AI skills building LLM-based applications.

Rohit co-founded Portkey in January 2023 with Ayush Garg after recognizing that the tooling challenges they faced building AI products were universal needs for the industry. The company celebrated receiving its first enterprise wire payment on its first anniversary.

Portkey raised $3 million in seed funding from Lightspeed in August 2023 and recently secured $15 million in Series A led by Elevation Capital in February 2026. The platform serves Fortune 500 enterprises including Postman and Snorkel AI, and holds SOC2, ISO, HIPAA, and GDPR certifications.

Portkey manages over $500,000 in daily AI spend for customers and has processed over 250 billion tokens through its platform. The company reduces error rates from 5% to 0.02% and serves 20% of calls from cache at latencies below 20ms, helping enterprises run AI that never breaks.
