Ross Bates is Co-Founder and CTO at Worlds, a physical AI platform empowering the world's largest industrial enterprises to automate and optimize their real-world operations using sensor networks and machine learning.

Ross earned his degree in Management Information Systems from the McCombs School of Business at UT Austin and built his career consulting on data management solutions for Fortune 500 companies in Banking, Oil and Gas, and Wireless.

With over 25 years of experience engineering distributed systems for machine learning and analytics at scale, Ross is a recognized thought leader in spatial AI and enterprise data integration.

Prior to Worlds, Ross co-founded and served as CTO of Key Ring, a mobile shopping app that grew to 15 million users before being acquired by Gannett Inc., and held technical roles at AT&T and Hyperion Solutions.

Worlds has raised over $40.7M across multiple funding rounds from investors including Chevron Technology Ventures, Align Capital, and Moneta Ventures, serving major enterprise clients such as Chevron and Hillwood.
