Ryland Birchmeier is Co-Founder of Dream (YC S26), building pocket-sized, battery-powered AI cameras that automatically photograph assets from every angle and catch damage that teams miss at car dealerships, equipment rental companies, and fleets.
Ryland studied Computer Science at the University of Virginia as a Rodman Scholar, with minors in entrepreneurship and data science, before gaining industry experience at X/xAI and Vexcel Imaging.
Ryland brings deep computer vision expertise, having built aerial damage-detection vision systems at Vexcel Imaging and worked on AI development at Elon Musk's X and xAI.
Dream was accepted into Y Combinator's Summer 2026 batch, giving Ryland and co-founder Alexander Halpern access to one of the world's most prestigious startup accelerators and its global network.
