Saaras Mehan

Saaras Mehan is a British-Indian technologist and entrepreneur serving as Co-Founder and CTO of Jack & Jill AI, a London-based startup reimagining recruitment through autonomous conversational AI agents.
Mehan studied at the University of Cambridge, completed Y Combinator as founder of Kular.ai, and previously held software engineering roles at Microsoft, Goldman Sachs, and Microsoft Research, and was a Founder in Residence at Entrepreneur First.
A former member of the England Chess Team, Mehan brings deep strategic thinking to his work, and his thesis is that transforming recruitment requires reimagining it from first principles rather than automating broken processes.
At Jack & Jill, Mehan is the primary architect of the platform's AI infrastructure, leading development of Jack, an autonomous conversational AI agent that conducts substantive voice conversations with candidates to assess skills, goals, and motivations at a depth no CV can capture.
Within six months of launch, Jack had spoken with 49,000 candidates across London's tech ecosystem, and the company has since grown to 350,000 candidates and 5,000 businesses, raising $60M in total funding across a $20M seed and $40M Series A.
