Sai Abitha Srinivas

Sai Abitha Srinivas is Co-Founder and Principal MR Systems Engineer at Adialante, a medtech startup pioneering affordable, compact, and silent MRI systems to democratize access to life-saving diagnostics worldwide.
She earned her doctoral training in Biomedical Engineering at Vanderbilt University, where her research focused on low-field MRI hardware, pulse sequence design, and EMI mitigation for truly portable MRI systems, driven by a passion to bring accessible imaging to underserved communities.
Sai was awarded the prestigious I.I. Rabi Young Investigator Award at the 2022 International Society for Magnetic Resonance in Medicine conference in London, recognizing her breakthrough work on improving image quality in portable MRI with minimal passive shielding.
At Adialante, she leads end-to-end development of portable MRI systems, designing permanent magnet systems, gradient and RF hardware, and has filed 3 patents and 1 invention disclosure while contributing to major federal grant applications.
Adialante has secured over $3M in total funding, including a $1.18M NSF SBIR Phase II grant, and joined Fogarty Innovation, a leading medtech incubator, as it advances its mission to bring affordable MRI to the nearly 90% of the world currently without access.
