Sajid Mehmood

Sajid Mehmood is Co-Founder and CEO of Niteshift, a cloud platform purpose-built to power AI coding agents with the runtime environments, verification workflows, and model-routing infrastructure needed to ship production-ready code at scale.
Sajid holds a BSE in Computer Science from Princeton University and spent nearly a decade at Datadog, rising to VP of Engineering for AI/ML and Cloud Service Management, where he helped grow the company from its early days to a multi-billion dollar valuation.
Sajid draws a direct parallel between Niteshift's model-independence thesis and Datadog's early growth, noting that enterprises will resist handing their most sensitive code assets to the same AI labs competing against them.
At Datadog, Sajid led infrastructure and developer tooling for cloud-native teams and championed the launch of Toto, the company's first foundation model for time-series observability forecasting.
Niteshift raised a $7M seed round led by Greylock's Jerry Chen, attracting marquee angels including Reid Hoffman and Datadog co-founders Olivier Pomel and Alexis Le-Quoc, validating the platform's vision for model-portable agentic engineering.
