Sally Chalk is Co-Founder and CEO of Signapse, a UK-based generative AI company revolutionizing accessibility for the Deaf community through photo-realistic sign language translation software.

Prior to co-founding Signapse in 2022, Sally built her expertise in the sign language industry at Clarion UK, a sign language interpreting company, giving her deep insight into the communication barriers faced by Deaf people.

Sally is driven by a mission to make Signapse the global standard for accessibility, ensuring that every sector where communication is essential becomes inclusive for Deaf communities worldwide.

Under Sally's leadership, Signapse raised a £2 million seed round led by Soulmates Ventures and Deeptech Seed Fund, with additional backing from Innovate UK, the Royal Association for Deaf People, and other investors.

Signapse's platform generates over 5,000 BSL train announcements daily across the UK, has delivered 4,000-plus manual BSL translations, and is deployed at major transport hubs including LNER Train Stations and CVG Airport in the US.
