Sam earned a B.S. in Economics and Business Psychology from Vanderbilt University, an MA in Finance from Claremont McKenna College, and an MBA in Health Care Management from the Wharton School at the University of Pennsylvania.

Sam's passion for healthcare investing is deeply personal, shaped by his own experience navigating the U.S. healthcare system after being diagnosed with a rare medical condition, fueling his commitment to AI-driven care solutions.

Prior to Tau Ventures, Sam served as Principal at Pediatric Associates leading M&A integration across multiple states, and previously worked in private equity at Investindustrial and Platinum Equity, with his career beginning in M&A and restructuring at Oppenheimer and Co.

At Tau Ventures, Sam focuses on seed and Series A investments in AI and digital health, with the firm managing over $85M in AUM and a portfolio of 80+ companies including notable exits such as one unicorn and four IPOs.
