Sam Dundas is Co-Founder and CEO of Besty AI, a New York-based AI platform automating guest communications and revenue optimization for short-term rental managers and hotels.

Sam was the first employee at Planned, a Series B event-tech startup in Montreal, joining straight out of university in 2018, and previously held roles at Labatt Breweries of Canada, Grafton Connor Group, Deloitte, and ENMAX.

Sam's hands-on experience scaling his own short-term rental portfolio from 2 to 35 properties across Canada and Germany in just 8 months gave him a firsthand understanding of the operational pain points Besty AI was built to solve.

Sam co-founded Besty AI in 2023 alongside AI scientist Aarlo Stone Fish, securing a $1.5M seed round led by Bungalow Capital and Ridge Ventures, and has become a recognized thought leader speaking at major hospitality conferences including Track in Austin and DARM.

Since launching in October 2023, Besty AI has grown at a 34% month-over-month rate, now powering over 30,000 properties across 25 countries and integrating with leading property management systems including Guesty, Hostaway, Hostfully, and Lodgify.
