Samuel Alarco Cantos is Co-Founder and CTO at Paygentic, a San Francisco-based AI-native billing and payments infrastructure platform purpose-built for agentic and AI-driven businesses.

A Spanish engineer and serial entrepreneur, Samuel previously worked at Google, where he specialized in distributed systems and API monetization frameworks.

Samuel identified a critical gap in the fintech landscape: billing systems built for static SaaS subscriptions simply could not handle the dynamic, outcome-based pricing models that AI-native products require.

Alongside co-founder Susan O'Neill, Samuel co-founded Paygentic in 2025, combining his deep engineering background with her finance expertise to build infrastructure that enables AI companies to monetize usage, outcomes, and hybrid models at scale.

Paygentic raised $2M in pre-seed funding led by MiddleGame Ventures, emerged from stealth with early adopters already onboard, and is positioned as foundational financial infrastructure for the rapidly growing agentic AI economy.
