Sanjay Byalal Jagannath is Co-Founder at Exponent Energy, a pioneering EV energy tech startup that has unlocked 15-minute rapid charging for electric vehicles using standard Li-ion cells.

Sanjay graduated from IIT Madras and holds an MBA from the University of Chicago Booth School of Business. He previously worked at Unilever and served as hardware strategic sourcing and cell strategy lead at Ather Energy, where he played a critical role in establishing the Ather Grid charging network.

Sanjay leads operations at Exponent, leveraging over a decade of experience in operations across HUL and Ather. He serves on the board of one other company and brings deep expertise in supply chain, hardware sourcing, and charging infrastructure development.

Exponent Energy has raised $47.2M in total funding, including a $26.4M Series B round led by Eight Roads Ventures and TDK Ventures in December 2023. The company has deployed over 70 charging stations across Bengaluru and partners with leading OEMs including Altigreen, Montra Electric, and Kinetic Green.

Exponent Energy's proprietary technology enables 0-100% charging in 15 minutes with a 3,000-cycle warranty. The company aims to deploy 1,000 charging stations and power 25,000 EVs by 2025, with expansion planned to Delhi, Hyderabad, Chennai, Mumbai, and Ahmedabad.
