Sanjay Ganapathy Subramaniam is Co-Founder and Chief Scientist at Pramaana Labs, a San Francisco-based AI verification startup pioneering formal proof systems for high-stakes regulated industries.

Sanjay is an alumnus of IIT Madras and previously served as a Staff Research Engineer at Google DeepMind, where he contributed to the development of the Gemini family of AI models.

As Chief Scientist, Sanjay brings deep expertise in large-scale AI systems and formal methods, applying rigorous mathematical verification to domains where AI hallucinations carry severe legal and financial consequences.

Pramaana Labs raised a landmark $27M seed round led by Khosla Ventures, with participation from Accel, Nexus Venture Partners, BoldCap, Premji Invest, and Unbound, backed by angel investors from Google DeepMind and Microsoft Research.

Pramaana is the first company to apply formal verification to commercial high-stakes domains including tax, healthcare diagnostics, cybersecurity, and financial compliance, with its inaugural Verification Summit hosted in San Francisco in June 2026.
