Intrinsic Foundries was founded in 2023 and completed a proof of concept at a thermal power plant, demonstrating extended continuous carbon capture with operational reliability. The company collaborates with research partners in the United States and Germany.

Intrinsic Foundries raised Rs 12 crore (approximately $1.4 million) in seed funding led by Transition VC in February 2026. The company is headquartered in Hazaribagh, Jharkhand and plans to establish a US entity for global market development.

The company is deploying proprietary microbial biorefinery technology with Factory 4.0 automation to transform industrial carbon waste into revenue-generating biochemicals. Intrinsic plans to commission multiple industrial pilots and operationalize its first 1-ton-per-day commercial plant within 24 months.
