Sebastiaan Visser is Co-Founder and CTO at Monumental, an Amsterdam-based construction robotics company deploying AI-driven robots that autonomously lay brick and mortar on real job sites across Europe.

Sebastiaan studied at Utrecht University and built his career across software engineering roles at Xopus, SolidCode, and as a Founding Engineer at Silk, before spending three years as a Software Engineer at Palantir Technologies.

Sebastiaan and co-founder Salar al Khafaji pioneered Palantir's forward-deployed engineering model within robotics, making Monumental the first company to apply that outcome-based, on-site approach to physical construction automation.

At Monumental, Sebastiaan leads the development of the Atrium platform, integrating AI, computer vision, and autonomous systems to control a fleet of over 150 bricklaying robots with half-millimeter precision.

Monumental has raised $57M in total funding including a $32M Series B led by Khosla Ventures, with robots already deployed across European construction sites building homes, schools, hotels, and infrastructure.
