Shahaf brings over 20 years of experience in cyber, intelligence, and operations, with a background rooted in offensive cyber operations and a degree from Bar-Ilan University.

Having spent years operating on the attacker side, Shahaf developed a deep understanding of the gap between how real attacks unfold and how organizations attempt to detect them, a gap that directly inspired the founding of Mars Security.

Under Shahaf's leadership, Mars Security emerged from stealth with $8.5M in seed funding backed by Jibe Ventures, TLV Partners, and the AWS and CrowdStrike Cybersecurity Accelerator.

Mars Security operationalizes threat intelligence into validated detections across SIEM, EDR, and cloud environments, compressing detection development timelines from weeks to minutes without requiring additional headcount.
