Shalin Shah

Shalin Shah is Co-Founder of Hyper, a YC P26-backed AI startup building the self-driving company brain for AI-first teams. He is passionate about the marriage of deep design and engineering to create beautiful, high-impact products.
Shalin studied Electrical Engineering and Computer Science at UC Berkeley, and previously served as autonomy lead at Matic Robots in Mountain View, where he was one of the team's most prolific designers and engineers. He began building products remarkably early, interning at MakeSchool (W12) in 2013 and Wit.ai (W14) in 2014 while still in middle school.
Shalin built an app for the blind in high school that surpassed 3 million users, demonstrating his rare ability to combine empathetic design with technical depth. With over 15 years of product-building experience, he brings a builder-first mindset to every venture he undertakes.
At Matic Robots, Shalin helped lead the team alongside his co-founder Kanyes Thaker, and the two have collaborated on dozens of projects together spanning research tools, virtual worlds, and campus assistants. Hyper was accepted into Y Combinator's P26 batch, validating the company's vision of a self-driving knowledge layer for AI-first organizations.
Hyper silently learns from every tool a team uses, including Notion, Claude Code, emails, Cursor sessions, and LinkedIn DMs, synthesizing that information into real-time shared knowledge that is automatically fed into all existing AI tools. The platform targets the critical gap in AI-first companies where agents repeatedly fail due to lack of persistent, up-to-date company context.
