Shantanu Phatakwala is Co-Founder and Chief Commercial Officer at Qualified Health, a public benefit corporation building enterprise generative AI infrastructure for health systems.

Shantanu earned a Bachelor of Engineering from The Maharaja Sayajirao University of Baroda and a Master of Arts from the University at Buffalo, later completing coursework at Stanford University.

With deep expertise in healthcare data architecture and strategy, Shantanu previously served as Chief Data Science Officer at Haven, the Amazon, Berkshire Hathaway, and JPMorgan healthcare venture, and as CIO at Passport Health Plan.

Prior to co-founding Qualified Health, Shantanu held senior leadership roles at Evolent Health, American Health Associates, MatrixCare, Anthem, and Milliman, spanning data science, strategy, and commercial growth.

Qualified Health serves 15+ major health systems including UTMB, Emory, Mercy, and all 8 UT System institutions, generating over $15M in run-rate impact at UTMB alone within six months, and now supports 400,000 users representing approximately 5% of U.S. hospital revenue.
